On Saturday 13th March 2010 Dead Haunted held their 2nd event at this fantastic location. Here’s my quick rundown.
We kicked things off at about 9pm as per usual, where my first vigil location was the Barn.
After a short while my group started getting some interesting information from the Ouija board, concerning a child of the age of 6; it is worth pointing out that the DH crew – including myself – do not take part in the experiments so as to distance ourselves from any activity witnessed.
At the other end of the barn, group members tried their hand at automatic writing using the planchette. Nothing to note on this experiment, so we left it.
Towards the end of the vigil myself and 2 others went back to the automatic writing planchette to discover something strange had happened; a small length of rope had moved from the end of the table and had somehow been draped over the planchette!
END OF 1st VIGIL
My 2nd vigil area was the Lower Floor of the main house.
Again, interesting results here with knocking noises on command and people seemingly getting physically touched; everyone was very jumpy here.
The Scrying Mirror was also used here on this vigil, with more than one person claiming to see ’someone’ with a moustache reflected within.
A loud bang from the upper floor gave most of my group an almost instant heart attack, but it turned out to be somebody above dropping their torch! lol
All in all an interesting area.
END OF 2nd VIGIL
My third vigil took place in the Great Hall.
Try as we may we could not get any results from the Ouija board here.
Again, as the vigil progressed there was a commotion coming from the upper floor of the main house, which adjoins the Hall.
It appears that there was an object thrown which shocked the group there.
I feel I must add a personal note to this regarding such matters as objects being thrown whilst on DH events.
Unlike some reports (and even an email!) I have received from disgruntled participants who, having attended events with certain other well known events companies and have witnessed first had them faking activity or ‘helping’ along activity, DH crew NEVER resort to such measures. Put simply: if nothing is happening then so be it, nothing happens and that’s the way the cookie crumbles sometimes.
END OF 3rd VIGIL
As the last of the group vigils, I got to visit the Barn area once again.
Glasswork /ouija board work wasn’t conclusive here in this vigil. The strangest incident would appear to have been what a witnesses described as someone walking past the barn door, but upon inspection there was no sight of anyone.
END OF 4th VIGIL
It was at this point that Free Time was then given, where participants can go to their favourite area / area of interest and conduct a vigil alone if they wish.
All in all another interesting investigation at one of our favourite locations. We will be back again in July 2010.
